We believe that the local tackle stores face enormous competition from BIG BOX companies and huge corporations. The local tackle dealers provide knowledge that is very valuable to the serious fisherman. Throughout the states, and up and down the coast, local tackle shop owners provide insight that is invaluable. A blue fish is a blue fish, a trout is a trout, and a bass is a bass, but the rigs and methods used to catch them vary widely in different locations. What works great in New England may not work at all on the same type fish in Florida. When you speak to a local tackle dealer you will see how the line is rigged, what is being used for bait, and techniques that should be used. Most of what we've learned over the years has been from talking to local dealers and the other guys in the stores.
